The Istituto Fotocromo Italiano was founded in Florence in 1928 by the engineer Vincenzo Balocchi, a well-known amateur photographer and former artistic director of the Fratelli Alinari Company.
Until 1980, the Company has printed artistic editions in the old traditional method of photo-typeset or collotypes, subsequently with the most modern and sophisticated printing methods.
The Istituto Fotocromo Italiano is led by the same family and is now in its third generation.
Our products are exclusively made with superior quality paper using the most modern printing techniques that guarantee a perfect image and color.
Our subjects are inspired by the cinema, art, nature and advertising world (such as our vintage prints), accurately reproduced or developed in a new and original method.
Our catalogue includes Calendars in Large (35 x 50 cm), Medium (24 x 34 cm), Slim (13,5 x 34 cm) and Desk (13,5 x 17 cm) sizes, with prints inspired by the Italian cinema, theatre, opera and other art subjects.
We also produce post-cards (in regular size 10 x 15 cm), note cards , decorative wrap (50 x 70 cm), posters (50 x 70 cm and 70 x 100 cm), art prints, note pads, magnets, notebooks and bookmarks.
